Image GALLERIES  for Photographer Mina Thevenin represent the vision of photographer, much the same way that the artist is represented in the painting or the sculpture. Having acknowledged this, I am sharing—within my images—my intention and vision of nature and humanity.

It is easy to say, “I am a photographer or I am a writer, an artist.” I find though, that it is challenging to describe the magic in it.  In the decade of the 1990’s I was very active in a long-standing creative writers group. An old friend of mine used to say, “don’t tell me. Show me.” A simple suggestion, I believe it has great merit.

The vision I express for a published image is the result of my magical experience in shooting the photo. My journey is the connection of the senses as surprised by sunrise and sunset, the nuances of texture punctuated by a beam of sunlight, the feel of breeze as it shimmers the leaves of a tree I’m standing beneath. My experience as photographer embodies capturing the every day life moments that, without photographing the simple, does not become the significant. This latter, which I espouse to be most powerful, is perhaps why I can find such joy in what some others might call the mundane. Perspective .
